If your truck is
equipped with a manual
transmission, one
alternative location for
routing the wires and
tubing is through this
grommet. This grommet is
used for A/T trucker and
they route the shift
cable through this
location. Remove the
grommet and carefully
cut a small hole in it's
center with a utility
knife. You want to keep
the hole slightly
smaller than your bundle
of wires and tubing. If
done correctly the
rubber grommet will be
tight enough and seal
the entry. Don't worry
if you make the hole too
large. Simply seal
it when you're done with
some RTV silicone.
NOTE: You must be
certain that any wiring
does not come in contact
with any of the pedals
or steering column
shaft. Before deciding
on any location to use,
check all moving parts
first to see where they
normally operate. |
