The Turbo Boost
Pressure Relief Valve is used to eliminate the Service
Engine Soon (SES) light from coming on in overboost
conditions on Ford Powerstrokes. Normally the SES light will come on at about 25 PSI. When this valve is installed, all boost pressure over
20PSI will be released so that the MAP sensor does not tell
the PCM to go into defueling mode, thereby allowing you to
run at higher boost levels. The valve is installed in
the MAP hose, between the MAP sensor and the intake
manifold. Kit comes with 2 hose clamps shown
above.
